Medieval Bird Cloisonné Pendant, Inspired by 15th Century Armenian Manuscript Art
A one of a kind pendant born from the rich artistic heritage of medieval Armenia. The stylized bird motif is inspired by a miniature painted by renowned Armenian miniaturist Asdvadzadour in 1419, originally found in the Avedaran Vasbouragan Gospel. During the Middle Ages, such birds were a beloved decorative element in illuminated manuscripts, symbolizing grace and the divine.
The cloisonné enamelling is laid on a thin copper sheet covered with 24K gold and fine silver foil, then set in a hand polished sterling silver bezel — where centuries-old artistry meets contemporary craftsmanship.
As every piece is hand-crafted, your pendant may carry slight variations from the photograph, making it entirely one of a kind.
